Hello, I’m state Senator Paul Bailey bringing you a legislative update from Nashville, Tennessee. We’re in the second year of the 110th General Assembly. There have been over 2700 bills filed. That means we have a lot of work to be done before April.

Just to bring you up to date on a couple of pieces of legislation that I’ve filed. One is to help farmers have their water exempt that’s being used for AG consumption.

Another piece of legislation that I’m working on will give our emergency medical service workers a $600 supplemental pay for their extended training. These people are on the front lines every day, helping you and I meet the needs that we have in our communities.
